Dorene

I got to hang out with Dorene and her sister Paulina on Saturday in the frigid winter air. :) Dorene is having her quinceanera soon so we took pictures of her in her dress. Isn't she beautiful??? AND her dress was super pretty too!

Doug

I had so much fun photographing Doug today! (even though we both froze) He's super fun and he showed me where this awesome little ally was... I'm definitely going to visit it again. Thanks Doug!

About NILMDTS

The 2010 model search is benefitting an organization that I totally love so I wanted to give some information about it. Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep is a non-profit organization (started in April 2005) for families dealing with the early loss of an infant.

At a family’s request, a NILMDTS affiliated photographer will go into the hospital and conduct a private portrait session. These portraits are retouched and the family is presented with a CD of images that can be printed. This is a free service and a wonderful opportunity for families to have professional portraits of their precious baby.

I have been an affiliated photographer for NILMDTS since August of this year and I’m so grateful to be a part of it. I have the opportunity to give what I hope will be a priceless gift.

When voting begins for the 2010 model search, you have the opportunity to not only vote for your favorite family, but help this great organization. Every $1 vote goes to the Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep foundation.

We did mini sessions this morning so I got to see lots of cute kids in cute costumes! What a fun way to spend the morning!

Mike and Stephanie Hart!

These two got married on Saturday and I'm SO excited for them!!! They had a beautiful wedding at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building. They are so great together and it was so fun for me to be able to be part of their day. Congratulations you guys!

Juan-Carlos

This is Juan-Carlos. He's a friend of mine and a super talented composer. It was fun hanging out with him at the Salt Lake library today for some pictures. I forgot how much I love that place. It's so awesome!!

Emily

Isn't Emily cute??? She's getting ready to start a massage therapy business and I'm pretty sure she's amazing at it! (I get to find out just how amazing she is next week!!!) We took these pictures today and it was such a beautiful day! It was perfect fall weather which happens to be my very favorite!

Mylee

Today we took pictures of Mylee in her Halloween costume at wheeler farm. (And some in regular clothes too.) Isn't she so stinkin' cute?!? She has such a fun personality. She was loving all the animals and she looked so cute in her bee costume!

Allred Family

These are some friends of mine that I haven't really seen for a couple of years. Madi was just a baby the last time and she'll be two next month! It was great to spend some time with them yesterday taking pictures. They are so cute! Madi is such a doll! (And she loves the camera!) She's a pro at saying "cheese!"

Crazy with a CAPITAL C!

This girl has SOOO MUCH ENERGY! I suppose all 2 and a half year olds do but wow. I think her mom (who happens to be my sister) must be tired all the time! She is my most favorite subject to photograph but as she gets older and more independent I come away from a shoot with her more exhausted than the time before. :)

Smith Family

These guys are my cousins. Well technically just one of them is my cousin. Can you tell which one?? (Here's a hint, he's the one with the goofy face :) I love these guys and I don't see them much anymore. I had so much fun photographing them today! What a cute family!

Cute Cute Cute!!

Today I got to take pictures of my brother-in-law's sister and her cute family. We went to Saltaire and although it was SOOO HOT outside, they were great sports about being out there for so long. I had lots of fun with these guys. I can't wait to get the rest of the pictures edited because I think these turned out so cute!

Exciting news

About a month ago I applied to be a photographer for an organization called Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep. I found out today that I was accepted! It's a great organization that provides free remembrance photographs for families who have lost a baby. Every time I look at their website I cry but I think it's such an amazing service.

Fun with Flash!

Normally when I shoot, I use mostly natural light but that is about to change. The other day I got some awesome stuff to use with my flash and I've been trying it out. I'm loving the results so far! It's been a good review for me on how to manipulate light. I can't wait to use this stuff more!
